We arrived around 6:30 PM and the restaurant was semi full. One thing we appreciated right away was that all the meats are halal, which was a big plus for our group. We were seated quickly and received our waters right away, but unfortunately the service became inconsistent after that. There were plenty of servers walking around, but it felt like no one was specifically assigned to our table. We constantly had to flag down different employees anytime we needed to order something, ask for refills, or request assistance. As for the food, overall it was good. The noodles were flavorful and cooked well, and the beef was tasty. However, several people in our group agreed that most dishes could have used a little more salt or seasoning. We also ordered the chicken soup dumplings, which were disappointing. The first batch came out very dry with almost no soup inside. We showed the waitress by poking one open, and she kindly offered to replace them. The second order was a little better, but about half of them were still dry, so at that point we decided not to ask for another replacement. Me and my friend were craving some good Asian food that hit the spot, so we decided to try this place out and oh my goodness, it is so delicious! I will definitely be coming back. We both got the bang bang noodles with shrimp, and they were incredibly flavorful. We also added their chili oil, which is hands down the best chili oil I’ve ever tried. On top of that, I got the fried veggie dumplings, and I’m so glad I did because they were amazing (especially with that chili oil!). To make things even better, the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive the entire time. I definitely recommend this spot if you’re wanting some amazing Asian food that hits the spot!

Chef Sun McKinney is hands down one of the best spots for halal Chinese food in the area. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful — modern, inviting, and perfect whether you’re going for a family dinner or a casual night out. The highlight of our meal was definitely the fried fish and the three chili chicken. The fried fish was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying tender and flavorful inside, and the three chili chicken had the perfect balance of heat, bold flavor, and crispiness. You can tell everything is made fresh and with care. It’s not easy to find high-quality halal Chinese food with this kind of atmosphere, but Chef Sun really delivers on both. Great food, beautiful setting, and a unique halal menu that stands out. Highly recommend if you’re in the McKinney area.

All I can say is wow. This place is absolutely amazing, hands down best Chinese restaurant in Texas and it’s also fully Zabiha halal. Went out with a big party and they accommodated us so well. The ambience is beautiful the location is right off the highway. Dishes: The flavor pepper chicken: super crispy and really flavorful. Great for appetizers 5/5 Crispy fish with Thai chili sauce: MUST TRY best fish I’ve ever tried will come back just for this by itself. 100/5 Kun Pao chicken: super saucy and chicken was really nice and soft. It does come with peanuts so if you have any allergies. 5/5 Rainbow Dumplings: really soft and had some cool colors. 4.5/5 Beef dry hotpot: came out in a really nice presentation and the flavor was out of the park. Must order as well 5/5
